We live in a country where foreigners can be deported for witnessing. One of our favorite questions was taken from Ephesians 6:19-20: Am I speaking the gospel boldly?

This is a GREAT blog. I'm here from Chele's Shout Outs and I'm so glad I stopped by. What a great way to look at it and it is SO true! I do the same thing. I think other than the study part, I'm looking at whether I'm worrying or speaking negatively. Am I'm being short tempered or do I still feel joy and peace? If I'm worrying, I'm not trusting God to handle it, not a good sign. Thanks again!!

Love this one! My mind always goes straight to the amount of time I am reading my Bible when I am faced with this question as well. But I love what you have pointed out. Thank you!

Very good point. Yes, there is no doubt we must regularly read God's Word--for many reasons. But there are also times we must put the bible down and get up and actually LIVE OUT what we say we believe. That is much harder than bible study! ;)

I have found that one way I can check my own spiritual temperature is to see how much time passes between a sin I commit and my genuine confession and repentance. Obviously, if I am growing in intimacy with the Lord, that span of time should get shorter each time!

Thanks for this post, Nicole. Have a great week.
