I read the weather report, look for an email, listen to a doctor, and wait for a response from my boss. All of me is always looking in all directions to see what’s ahead, what’s to come, what tomorrow will bring.
But meteorologists misinterpret, emails get lost, doctors misdiagnose, and bosses don’t know how the market will shift.
And so I read this, before I read anything else: “EVERY WORD OF GOD PROVES TRUE.” Every word. No misinterpretation, no misdiagnosing, no mistaking. Each and every single utterance from Him is spot on. I pray for grace to read this word before I read any other word…so that I might read His Word more.
When you’re looking for a word about the days ahead, look at these words:
Every word of God proves true; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him. Proverbs 30:5
And find comfort that these true words don’t just blink on a screen or come static across a bad connection. The true word isn’t just thrown at you but brought to you through the WORD Himself, the Word made flesh. And it’s Christ that will carry you into every tomorrow.
Lord, before we read anything, give us grace to read this and receive more faith to trust that all the Your words prove true.
